Cardiovascular diseases involve the heart and blood vessels It is now the leading cause of death. heart disease is caused by age, sex, tobacco use, physical inactivity, excessive alcohol consumption, a poor diet, and obesity The main cause of heart attacks and strokes is a blood vessel blockage that prevents blood from flowing to the heart or brain. Chest pain, discomfort in the arms, left shoulder, elbows, jaw, or back, breathing difficulties, feeling sick, or vomiting is all symptoms. People who are experiencing these symptoms should seek medical help right away.

Pediatric cardiology is concerned with the diagnosis of congenital heart defects, the performance of diagnostic procedures such as echocardiograms, cardiac catheterization, and electrophysiology studies, as well as the ongoing management of heart disease in infants, children, and adolescents. Different types of inflammatory heart disease include myocarditis (the disease is characterized by heart muscle inflammation); Kawasaki's disease is a rare childhood disease that affects blood vessels. Acute pericarditis, pericardial effusion, cardiac tamponade, and constrictive pericarditis are all clinical terms for pericardial diseases. Endocarditis with infectious endocarditis is a type of endocarditis.

Congenital heart disease is a type of birth defect that affects the normal functioning of the heart. The term "congenital" refers to a condition that has existed since birth. Congenital heart disease is one of the most common birth defects, affecting nearly one in every 100 babies born in the United Kingdom. Congenital heart disease occurs when the heart's normal development is disrupted. The majority of cases are thought to occur when something interferes with the heart's development during the first six weeks of pregnancy.

Types of congenital heart disease,

  • septal defects
  • coarctation of the aorta
  • pulmonary valve stenosis
  • transposition of the great arteries
  • underdeveloped heart

Sports Cardiology is said with the cardiovascular care of athletes and exercise cardiology is said to the individuals of all age groups. Sports Cardiology also includes guts screening which helps to detect serious cardiovascular issues in young athletes. Sudden asystole is the leading cause of death in young athletes who are exercising. A malignant tachyarrhythmia, such as fibrillation (VF) or ventricular tachycardia deteriorating into VF, can trigger this. Due to the complex individual cardiovascular demands and adaptations forced by exercise, Cardiologists face a variety of challenges when evaluating athletes. The most aim of the Sports Cardiology Centre is to figure with any athlete forward the range -proficient athlete, recreational exercisers, to finish of the week warriors to enable them to realize these goals.

Cardiac Surgery is the most familiar kind of heart medical practice for grown-ups as coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG). A solid course or vein from the body is linked to a blocked coronary (heart) artery during CABG. The bypassed portion of the coronary conduit is avoided by the merged supply route or vein. This provides an additional pathway for oxygen-rich blood to reach the heart muscle. CABG can relieve chest pain while also lowering the risk of coronary failure. Only in life-threatening situations is surgery recommended. The main goal of Cardiac Surgery is to improve the patient's life expectancy by improving heart function. These procedures are carried out by cardiothoracic or cardiac surgeons.

Heart failureoften known as Congestive heart failure, is a condition where the heart muscle is unable to pump blood as efficiently as it should. Shortness of breath is frequently brought on by this because blood frequently backs up and fluid can accumulate in the lungs. The heart eventually becomes too weak or stiff to fill and pump blood adequately as a result of some heart disorders, such as coronary artery disease (coronary artery disease) or excessive blood pressure. With the right care, heart failure symptoms and signs can be reduced, and some people may even live longer.

People with heart failure may experience severe symptoms, and may even involve having a ventricular assist device or a heart transplant (VAD). Preventing and managing conditions like coronary artery disease, high blood pressure, Diabetes, and obesity that can lead to heart failure is one method to do so.

  • Left-side heart failure
  • Right-side heart failure
  • Systolic heart failure (also called as heart failure with reduced ejection fraction)
  • Heart failure with preserved ejection fraction

Diabetes and obesity are two important modifiable stroke risk factors. Diabetes patients have a higher risk of stroke and a worse prognosis after a stroke. In Diabetes and obesity, risk-factor modification is the most important aspect of stroke prevention. This entails lifestyle changes as well as various therapeutic modalities to manage conditions such as Diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia, and arrhythmia.  Diabetes is curable, but it significantly increases the risk of heart disease and stroke even when glucose levels are under control. That's because people with Diabetesspecifically type2 Diabetesmay have the subsequent conditions that contribute to their risk for developing cardiovascular disease

Cardiac nursing is concerned with preventing and treating heart problems. Nurses in the cardiac department work in inpatient or outpatient settings, care for medical or surgical patients, and understand patients through acute illness or help them manage chronic disease. Cardiac nurses help to treat disorders like unstable angina, arterial coronary disease, congestive coronary failure, myocardial infarct, and cardiac dysrhythmia under the direction of a cardiologist. They perform excellent care on a surgical unit; analyzing evaluations, cardiac monitoring, vascular monitoring, and health assessments. Basic and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certifications are readily accessible to cardiac nurses. In addition, cardiac nurses have specialized skills such as electrocardiogram monitoring, defibrillation, and continuous drip drug administration. Coronary care units, cardiac catheterization, medical care units, operating theatres, cardiac rehabilitation centers, clinical research, Cardiac Surgery wards, cardiovascular intensive care units, and cardiac medical wards are all places where cardiac nurses work.

  • Cardiac Nurse’s typical responsibilities include:
  • Evaluate and treat patients.
  • Provide postoperative care.
  • Monitor stress test evaluations.
  • Monitor cardiac and vascular readings.
  • Educate patients and their families.
  • Support and motivate patients' lifestyle changes

Cardio-oncology is the juncture of heart conditions in patients who have been cured of cancer. Cardiologists can evaluate patients for potential risk of acquiring heart conditions if patients take up types of cancer drugs or go after radiation treatment to the chest. They also help oncologists protect their patients during treatment by closely monitoring the heart and detecting heart problems early on.

Infrequently used in the medical literature, nephro cardiology—or, in some cases, cardio nephrology—has implications primarily for the cardiorenal syndrome and cardiac effects of chronic kidney disease. Additionally, it has never been explicitly defined as a medical specialty with a certain scope, nor has it continuously conveyed the same denotation in its various appearances.

Nephrocardiologythe study of the interaction between nephrology and cardiovascular medicineencompasses a wide range of subtleties that are not typically covered in either field of study. All Cardiologists and nephrologists ought to be knowledgeable about those subjects, and a "nephrocardiologist" needs to be an expert in them. In order to determine the best clinical solutions for this complexity and to learn more about the extent of those interactionsnephrologists should also direct new research.
